Good News

Well, it looks like its true ....

WE ARE MOVING TO

Samuel had his interview on Tuesday morning (amidst all our hospital stress) and found out yesterday that he has been accepted! Yay! We will actually not live in Baltimore itself because the city is supposed to be pretty seedy. We're looking around Elkridge and Ellicott City. There is actually a city called Severn too, which is tempting just because my bro-in-law is named Severin and I think it would be funny. Anyway, since we'll be students there is no way we can get a mortgage, so it looks like we'll be renting. It will be so bizarre to go from having a 2400 sq ft home with a huge yard to a 1200 sq ft apartment with no yard at all. I'm not exactly looking forward to that part! Any advice on how to handle the change? I guess this means we'll be putting our house on the market pretty soon, too. Bad timing in the economy, but what choice do I have? I'll just add selling the house to my list of things to stress about. :)

ps. God loves me. I was so upset about my flowers being frozen in the snow all Sunday and Monday, but when I got home from the hospital on Thursday all the snow was melted, the flowers were still alive, and a bunch of new ones bloomed. See? He sent me flowers. Isn't He the best?!

That is pretty exciting and what a change! Living on the east coast is definitely different. What kind of job did Sam get? I guess I missed that blog... Anyway, congrats on the new job and best wishes for selling the house! I was just thinking yesterday... man, I hope they sell their house. We will keep you in our prayers. It's a beautiful house, though. Who wouldn't want it?
By the way, how is the book thing going for Sam?

WOW!!! That is going to be one exciting adventure! Good luck with the move. I wouldn't know what to tell you about coping with less space, but I'm sure it would be difficult. We may have to do that if we move in the next year or so. You'll be the one letting me know how it is!:) Congrats, this is great!

In some ways apartment living isn't so bad. There is less to clean up and it forces you to be organized and not keep things you don't need. Craigslist comes in handy. Also you have people that come and fix things for you and great opportunities for missionary work with your many neighbors. We have flower pots on our back patio. :)

Hey--Congrats!! East-coast living is great. But smart to not look for housing in Baltimore itself. EVERYONE I know who has lived or been there says it is pretty trashy and kind of ghetto. We are officially going to be "neighbors," so I am happy! Have you been to DC before?

So glad Seara is better--talk about stress. (but I'm glad Someone sent you flowers!)

We are sure going to miss you guys, but what a great opportunity for your family.

As far as switching from a home to an apartment, I'm not really in any position to offer advice. I'm stoked that we are moving from a 550 sq ft apartment to a 750 sq ft apartment in about a month and a half. ;-)

Yay! So what school is it? Yeah, moving from a house to an apartment kinda stinks. If you pack right, it's not too bad. AND you'll only be there for a few years so there's an end in sight, which makes it better. Call or email me and I can give you a few tips. :) I'm glad you still have your flowers!

CONGRATULATIONS! Baltimore will be such a fun adventure & later you will all look back on this time as so special for your family! When do you have to be there to start school? Good luck with the house sell & all of the extras--
