I must have been about 16 when I realized that I looked absolutely ridiculous every time I danced. Homecoming, Sweethearts, Prom, everyone else looked just fine, but I ... well, I looked like I was being electrocuted. My leg bones were not connected to my arm bones, and my arm bones were not connected to my head bone.
In an effort to remedy this with my progeny, I recently enrolled Seara in a community ballet class. (You have to start young to overpower these genes.) She took the class with her friend Sabrina. They were incredibly cute.
In case you're interested how her dancing ability panned out, here's a minute and a half highlight video. She was crazy good at posé-hop (aka skipping). So good the teacher made her learn how to do it backwards. But I don't have any footage of it. Bummer.
You know, I think there might be hope for her. :)

Crazy good and incredibly adorable!
Oh she's darling...and the music was perfect!
That was the cutest thing ever, and now I'm sad I don't have a daughter. Do you think one of my boys would do ballet one time just to humor me?
Linds - Ha, ha, ha! You might have to start earlier than this if you don't want him to notice that he's the only boy! :)
I am impressed! I think she's better than me haha
I definitely hated when guys asked me out on dancing dates... But then I learned that if the guy is actually good (like Joseph is!) :) the girl doesn't even have to do any work.
PS: and I just realized, Seara is now my niece! haha
She's so cute!!!!
Two words: head bobbing. Enough said.
Sam - Yeah, she was pretty much doomed from birth.
oh my goodness this seriously just made my day!!! Oh how absolutely adorable! :) love it!
You're so cute, Mary. I wish you lived closer to us!
she looks like a natural!
What a cute video! I love the little song/dance at the end--she was the only one who seemed to actually do all the moves. :)
Hey! We have the snuggle puppy book! I always make up the tune, this sounds way better.
