Since we're back in school, Samuel and I have given up owning our own home and gone back to the luxury of apartment living. We chose a complex that is brand new, mostly because it touted extra-thick walls betweens apartments (which is a must for both us and our neighbors!) We live on the 3rd floor of a four-floor building (with an elevator) and I've never heard anything from below us, and only heard steps above. Our apartment is also at the corner of the building, so the kid's room has no shared walls, and our bedroom only shares with the stairwell (which is extra sound-proof). So, the only real shared wall we have is where Sam's studio connects with our neighbors. Phew!! This makes apartment living much more tolerable! (At Wyview our neighbors were newly weds who didn't realize how thin the walls were. I'll leave it at that.) Here are some paintings/pictures that the complex commissioned/took:
Apartment Complex Map (the numbers point out 1-the 24-hour fitness center, 2-the pool, 3-the playground, 4-the two-mile walking trail, and 5-the picnic area). Fancy, huh?! I get a gym pass & pool pass for free, plus the trail and play ground for the kids. We are living the dream ... well, sort of.

I love that you post so many pictures of your homes (& even include the floor plan) How fun it will be to look back at the places you have lived.
We'll have to get out there and visit you guys and Bryce and Carol. I also want to go and take a picture of the outside of Charm City Cakes - love that building!

It must make such a difference having a nice, clean, new, comfortable and spacious place to live after moving to a new area and while expecting a baby. I'm so happy for you guys. It looks like a wonderful place.
