Get it? Ketchup? Catch up? Yeah, I heard that one in 6th grade and am STILL laughing about it. So I'm easily amused. Sue me. Or send me your fathers/fathers-in-law. I laugh at Dad Jokes, so grown men tend to love me. When I was single they'd try to get me to marry their sons - just so they'd have someone to laugh at their lame jokes. I'm always willing to oblige.
Okay, enough rambling. I've fallen off the end of the earth. (Didn't you hear? It is flat, after all!) I don't have the time or energy to come up with entertaining blog posts. But I did just hook up my camera for the first time since August and I have all these pictures that I need to journal about. If you have trouble with insomnia, you've come to the right place! This will put you right to sleep. Here we go. Have a nice nap.
- This summer we went through a huge container of sidewalk chalk. Seara just couldn't get enough of it. You can see why I stick with just writing my name whenever Sam is drawing with us.
- Using rocks and balls in water (see single picture of Enoch), I tried to teach the kids sink v float. Instead it turned into "see how hard we can throw the rock into the water and how big of a splash it will make." The rocks promptly 'disappeared.' I'm gonna cry the day that the kids figure out what 'disappeared' really is. (And in case you were wondering, yes, smiling is against Seara's religion.)
- We made a volcano. I was supposed to put red food coloring in the lava to make it more realistic, but I really didn't want to risk a red food coloring mess. So we just had white, foamy lava. I'm such a party pooper. :)
- Now that it is cold and we can't play in the water I've been taking the kids on near-daily field trips associated with what we're doing in preschool. We've gone to the zoo, the aviary, the Thanksgiving Point Barn, the aquarium, the grocery store, the library, the dollar theater, Cornbelly's, the Bean Museum, and the Museum of Peoples and Cultures. This afternoon we're headed to Wheeler Farm to milk the cows. Since I've done all but one of these trips alone (with three kids! I so deserve exaltation for that one. (Duck to miss the lightning.)) I don't take my camera. I may laugh at dumb jokes, but I'm not stupid.my only attempt to take a picture of the kids without any help
Pssssst! Psssssst! It's time to wake up! I think you drooled in your keyboard. That's gotta be bad. Sorry about that. Back to your lives, citizens! (Name that movie.)

Toy Story!
Have I ever told you that you're basically my idol? I tell Joseph all the time haha
You = supermom!
And I am willing to consider marrying Joseph simply so I can have your adorable children as niece/nephews
that was supposed to be boring? well, you failed.
you are hysterical, your kids are adorable, and your blog makes me happy.
for some reason it's super weird to me that enoch can walk. nonetheless, that picture of them holding hands and walking is so cute!
p.s. i laughed out loud at that picture with elijah and the marshmallow!
Totally unrelated to your post, I was craving orange julius with popcorn this morning. Just made me think of you. :)
Oh the picture of all three walking and holding hands is so precious! Can Enoch be that big??? So cute! I also loved the marshmallow picture. That is funny!!!
I couldn't figure out the quote until I read the comments. Now I remember. That's a good one. :)
Melanie - Dude. I love those. That comment was the best, just cuz it gave me happy thoughts. And I love that it reminded you of me! :)
I think your family is adorable and you are such a good mom! I remember going all those places with Skjelse and Kieren and small Gavin in tow. I asked Skjelse and Kieren if they remembered any of these trips, and alas they remember none of it. I am presuming it is helping them anyway in a deep psychological way.
Love the hand-holding picture. It's great!
And I think I have more fun with the sidewalk chalk than the kids.
I always wanted to make a volcano like that, but I don't think we ever did. Amazing.
And I do not drool on my keyboard. Especially while reading your blog.
If you think posts like that are boring you much have to prop up your eyelids to read most of my blog! It was great!
I want to know what your preschool activities and themes have been. I love you SUPER MOM stuff.
Outings with your kids is definitely one of your talents. Moving across the country and seeing almost every site on the Eastern seaboard and now the greater Utah area! You are A-mazing! Enoch is already more traveled than most of the US population!
I do miss your posts, but totally understandable! Looks like you and the kids have been busy! So fun!
For the record, I didn't pass out reading your blog! Andddd... your kids are precious. I love all of those pictures. Looks like they are having a good time, even Seara! :)
I laughed when I saw the picture of Seara. Funny that she doesn't like to smile for pictures. I can't believe the fun things you do and the outings you take with 3 kids. You really are amazing. I don't have the energy to do even half of what you do, and I only have 1. WOW! Your kids sure are lucky.
You make me laugh! Your blogs are always so entertaining, if only we could all be as witty and clever as you are!
adorable!
Toy Story and it looks like you guys have had a fun-filled-memory- filled summer!
okay, even though Seara isn't smiling in that pic, it is seriously gorgeous! and Melanie (and Janae), i had a Janae memory moment the other day and made orange julius!!! oh, the simpler times.
Cute stuff. Sam is quite the artist.
Ok, I must have missed something...what's with the orange julius?
You know, I'm speechless. I think you just have more energy than me...that has to be it...or maybe you're just more motivated. Or maybe I should just stop comparing myself...dumb how we women do that. I'm glad you get out so much...your kids are going to look back on all you did and wonder how in the world you did it. Pay Day. That's what it will feel like.
Krishele - I went through a phase where I was in love with orange julius. As in I made it every single time I got together with people. It was during 8th grade, I think. It must have been during one of our off times. No worries, next time you're down here, I'll make it for ya. :)
ps. Adam is getting married soon. I'm going to his reception on October 24th. Yay for him!
