Dinner and a movie: date style. Dinner first. Somewhere like Olive Garden. Stay and talk as long as you can. Then go to the movie at a nice theater. Hold hands. Meander out when it's over. End with dessert.
Dinner and a movie: family style. Movie first. (Otherwise it would be too late.) Dollar variety, of course. Start with potty trips. Several of them. Watch with a child on each parent's lap, hold hands with the one that doesn't fit. Book it as soon as the film ends. Dinner at Costco. Get pizza sauce everywhere. End with a potty trip.

:) Sounds about right.
so true, so true!
Yep...unless it goes more like our latest family style date night. :| That was so hectic and crazy, it was worse than many potty trips. But it all ended happy!
In fact, I may blog about it... :D
very funny and true.
very funny and true.
It's funny what kids do to our idea of a successful evening. :)
Qait - Please do!!
Krishele - I agree, and to expand, it's funny what kids do to our idea of successful everything.
Thanks for sharing.
Now with the baby, our "at home dates" (after c is in bed), aren't quite the same anymore. Parenthood truly does redefine success!
Aubrey - Ha, ha! On our first anniversary Seara was just 9 days old and she pooped all over Sam during our 'romantic' movie. Having a newborn makes the already complicated even more so.
Yep, that sounds like the typical date. The date-style dates are few and far between.
Dinner and a movie dates are possible with a family?! :)
